Summary: Word's table editor allows you to create complex tables for use in your documents. This tip explains how to change the space between cells in a Word table. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, and Word 2003.)
Word contains a very powerful table editor, which allows you to create very complex tables. Normally, Word does not add any additional space between the cells in a table. You can manually adjust the amount of space, however. Word 97 allows you to adjust the space between columns, while later versions of Word allow you more control over cell spacing. If you are using Word 97, follow these steps:
