Setting Matrix Row Spacing in the Equation Editor
Summary: If you are using matrices in your equations, you can adjust the spacing between matrix rows. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 6, Word 95, Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, and Word 2003.)
When using the Equation Editor, you can control the spacing that the Equation Editor applies between lines in a matrix. The value you specify represents a percentage of the normal spacing that would otherwise be used. Thus, a value of 125% represents a spacing that is 25 percent larger than normal. To set this adjustment, do the following:
- Choose Spacing from the Format menu. The Equation Editor displays the Spacing dialog box. (Click here to see a related figure.)
- Click on the Matrix row spacing box.
- Enter a matrix row spacing value as a percentage of normal.
- Click on OK.
