Summary: Here are two ways to contact Microsoft's development team with your wonderful ideas on improving their product. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 6, Word 95, Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, and Word 2003.)
Got a burning desire to let Microsoft know what they can do to improve Word? Wouldn't it be great if you could send a personal e-mail to someone on the Word development team; perhaps bend their ear for a while to let them know about some great idea you have?
Fortunately, Microsoft provides at least two direct ways you can contact them with ideas for future versions of Word. To take advantage of the first method, send a message to the following address:
mswish@microsoft.com
Make sure you include the product name ('Word' will do) in the subject line.
As an alternative, you can use the following terribly long URL to jump directly to the Microsoft Web page where you can make suggestions for Microsoft products:
http://register.microsoft.com/regsys/custom/wishwizard.asp?from=cu&fu=/isapi/gomscom.asp?target=/mswish/thanks.htm
Nobody outside Microsoft seems to know how well the company pays attention to the unsolicited feedback it receives through either e-mail or the Web, but it can't hurt to unburden yourself and pass on your recommendations. Give it a try!
Tip #1430 applies to Microsoft Word versions: 6 95 97 2000 2002 2003
