Summary: To keep up with the Discussion, you will need to refresh the comments to make sure you are in-the-know. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 2000, Word 2002, and Word 2003.)
As you are working on a Word 2000 or later document in a collaborative effort, it is entirely possible that more than one person will be working on a document at the same time. In this instance, it is important to remember to refresh your discussions periodically.
When Word posts discussion comments for a document, it does not save them in the document itself. Instead Word passes the comments to a server program, running on a network server, that saves them in a remote database. As other people post comments, they may not appear on your screen right away. To ensure that you have the most up-to-date version of the discussion possible, all you need to do is click on Discussions on the Discussions toolbar, and then choose Refresh Discussions from the resulting menu. Word queries the discussion server and updates your display.
Tip #774 applies to Microsoft Word versions: 2000 2002 2003
