Changing Color in WordArt
Summary: Learn how to change the color used for text in WordArt. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, and Word 2003.)
WordArt is a program that allows you to treat text as a graphic. You can use the program to add special effects and flourishes to text and then insert the text in your document. One of the special effects you can use is to change the color of the text in your artwork. This is done following these steps:
- Select the WordArt object by clicking on it. Word displays the WordArt toolbar.
- Click on the Format WordArt tool. WordArt displays the Format WordArt dialog box.
- Make sure the Colors and Lines tab is selected. (Click here to see a related figure.)
- Using the Color drop-down list, specify the color you want to use, along with any special effects.
- Click on OK. WordArt updates your WordArt object.
